Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA small honey farm built as a row of five bee hives with a dispenser in front of each one. A comparator reads each hive and fires its dispenser when the honey level reaches five, so a shear takes the honeycomb or a glass bottle takes the honey, and hoppers carry the result into a double chest. Flowers planted in front keep the bees pollinating and topping the hives back up. The build sits on a small platform, uses no pistons or observers, and the tutorial runs just over two minutes. You supply the hives yourself by silk touching wild bee nests with the bees still inside.
Fill every slot of the dispenser, LegendWolfA runs 64 bottles and 8 shears. Leave one slot empty and the dispenser takes the honey bottle straight back instead of passing it to the hopper, which is what nearly every failure report here turns out to be.
Biber-v5y had all his honey bottles ending up in the dispensers on 1.21.8 and that fix sorted it.
Leave one extra block at the front and two underground for the flowers. slowtalker's bees kept suffocating because they move around more than the build allows for.
timohardung1241 calls the design unsuited to survival for that reason, since a partly filled dispenser makes the whole thing luck based, and points at piston based honey designs instead.
The material list on screen belongs to a different farm. akondev, psycho1888-x8u and zee1433 all gathered obsidian, slime blocks, rails and iron for nothing.
Several commenters say the tutorial is copied step for step from TrilomsMC, including the title.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
