Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Farmly. By using farmlymc.com you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site. Nothing here limits rights that the law of your country grants you and that cannot be waived by contract.

Who we are

Farmly is built by a small team and operated by Michal Viktorýn, a private individual based in the Czech Republic. You can reach us at contact@farmlymc.com or through the contact page. Throughout these terms, "we" and "us" means that operator.

The service

Farmly is a free library of Minecraft farm designs. We collect farm designs from publicly available video tutorials, describe them, measure and rate them, and link every entry back to the original tutorial. With a free account you can save farms into collections, share those collections with other people, and track the materials you have already gathered. We work hard to keep the site available, but it is a hobby project offered free of charge: we do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. If we ever discontinued the site as a whole, we would say so in advance where reasonably possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when the site gains new features or the law changes. The current version is always at farmlymc.com/terms, with the date of the last change at the top. If a change is significant we will announce it on the site. Using Farmly after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the site and, if you have an account, you can delete it in Settings at any time.

Minecraft and Mojang

Farmly is an unofficial fan project. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. All game content referenced on this site belongs to its respective owners.

Farm designs belong to their creators

The farms in this library were designed by the people who published the tutorials, not by us. Every farm entry names its creator and links to the original video, and video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube rather than copied. Our descriptions, measurements and ratings are our own editorial work; the underlying designs remain the creators' own. If you are a creator and want your farm removed from the library, credited differently, or linked to a different video, write to contact@farmlymc.com and we will sort it out promptly. We would rather fix attribution in a day than argue about it.

Copyright and takedown requests

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices under the EU electronic commerce rules, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act and equivalent laws. If you believe content on Farmly infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@farmlymc.com that identifies the work you own, identifies the material on our site you object to (a link to the page is enough), gives us your name and a way to reply to you, and states in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder and that your notice is accurate. On receiving a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the material without undue delay. Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material will be terminated.

Your account

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Discord or Google. Give us accurate information, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you believe someone else has access to your account, because you are responsible for what happens under it. Choose a username that does not impersonate someone else and is not offensive; we may ask you to change a username, or change it ourselves, if it breaks that rule. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and if the law where you live sets a higher age for consenting to the processing of your data, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. You can delete your account yourself in Settings; deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.

Your content

Content you create on Farmly remains yours. That covers your username, your bio, collection names and descriptions, notes and messages. So that the site can work, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and back up that content for the purpose of operating and improving the service. This licence ends for a piece of content when you delete it, except for copies in routine backups, which expire on their own schedule. If you make a collection public or share it by link, you are allowing the people who can see it to view its contents; a shared collection you own passes to another of its members if you delete your account, so their work is not destroyed with yours. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

Acceptable use

Use Farmlylawfully and decently. You must not post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, defamatory or otherwise objectionable, or that infringes someone else's rights; upload anything containing malware or other harmful code; misrepresent who you are; send spam or unsolicited messages through our forms; collect information about other users or scrape and systematically extract our data; disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its accounts or its infrastructure; or sell access to the site or republish our database or substantial parts of it without our written permission. Linking to farms and quoting reasonable excerpts with attribution is fine and encouraged; wholesale copying of the library is not.

Accuracy of ratings and information

Rates, ratings, difficulty scores and other numbers on Farmly are editorial estimates. They come from the tutorials, their comment sections and our own judgement, and Minecraft itself changes with every version. A farm that we list may work differently in your world, on your version, on your server or on your hardware, or it may not work at all. Use the information here as guidance, not as a guarantee, and back up worlds you care about before building anything ambitious in them.

Other websites and services

Farm tutorials open on YouTube, and video thumbnails are served by YouTube; your use of YouTube is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's policies. The same goes for Discord and Google if you sign in with them, and for any other site we link to. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or conduct.

Warranties and liability

Farmlyis provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost data, lost worlds or lost time arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which, the service being free, is nothing. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence or the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.

Ending or suspending accounts

We may suspend or terminate an account, remove content, or restrict access to the site if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to protect the service or its users. Where reasonable we will warn you first and say what the problem is. You may stop using the site at any time and delete your account in Settings.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country. Disputes belong to the courts of the Czech Republic, or to the courts your local law designates where that designation is mandatory. Czech consumers may also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz) for out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes. Honestly, we would prefer you simply write to us first; almost everything can be fixed by email.
