Waterlogged stairs stone farm

This small water and lava generator forms a row of stone within the player's reach. You mine the row with a pickaxe, hoppers carry each mined block into chests, and new stone forms in its place. The F3+T trick shown in the video keeps the attack held, so you can stand AFK at it, for example next to a mob farm. Builders use it on skyblock worlds and for building stone early in a world. Mined without Silk Touch, the stone drops as cobblestone. It is not automatic: your pickaxe breaks every block, and long AFK sessions wear it out.

• Sneak while placing each hopper so it feeds its chest, or put the chests under the hoppers. A hopper that is not connected fills up and the stone burns in the lava. Many builders report it, the creator agrees.
• Expect part of the mined blocks to fall into the lava or pop out of the sides, even on a working build and more on servers. Many builders report it.
• To mine while AFK, hold left click, press F3+T and let go while the game reloads. On a laptop try Fn+F3+T, and F3+P stops the pause when you tab out. Top comments; several say the trick fails for them.
• Long AFK sessions break the pickaxe, Mending ones too. Three builders lost enchanted pickaxes within about an hour.
