Clay and wood conveyor farm

A clay and wood machine by Loxodude, and the only one of its kind here. Bone meal turns stone into moss, the moss grows an azalea tree for the wood and leaves rooted dirt behind, the rooted dirt becomes mud, and pointed dripstone under the mud turns it into clay. A piston conveyor belt carries blocks between each stage. It runs without a player, it makes 1 wood and 4 clay for every 40 bone meal fed in, and you can build only the front half if you want rooted dirt or mud rather than clay.

• Reliability is the real subject of this comment section. Almost every substantive comment is a breakage, and the builder who eventually got it running says it took several days of testing the timings.
• Loxodude's main fix is the hopper clock: add more items to the one loaded with nine, and check there is an unbroken path of solid blocks between the stone and the moss block.
• The commonest failure is the stone converting to moss too early, which leaves the log jammed in front of the dispenser and stops the belt.
• Water bottles get spat out of the mud converter. Catch them with a hopper, send them back up with a dropper, and return them on a water stream.
• The brake doubles as an off switch, but when you restart it you have to give the observer watching the wood a block update or the belt stays dead.
• One builder gave up and used villagers with stonecutters instead, which is not automatic but does not break.
