Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA decorated iron farm built as a Tuscan style clock tower for three villagers and one zombie. A piston moves the zombie in and out of view, and the drops run through an auto sorter into crafters that turn the ingots into iron blocks and the poppies into bone blocks. It makes about 32 iron blocks an hour, which is 288 ingots. Java, with a separate Bedrock version on the same channel.
Build 80 to 100 blocks from the nearest village, though the creator says you can sometimes get away with closer.
If golems will not spawn, check the piston is actually moving the zombie up and down, and let a night pass so the villagers get a chance to sleep.
Golems only spawn in a 17x17 area 13 blocks high, so the tower has to be tall enough and everything in range has to be non spawnable.
If the sorter pushes items into the wrong hoppers, check the redstone torches. That was one builder's entire problem.
Save iron in the filters by putting 1 iron item and 11 stone in each filter slot instead of a single stone.
If you want to keep the poppies instead of composting them, replace the composter with a hopper and build a second dropper in its place.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
