Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA gold farm on the nether roof, 15 stacked magma platforms with no redstone in it at all. A turtle egg on each layer pulls the zombified piglins to a hole in the middle, they fall the whole height onto hoppers, and that kills them and collects the drops in one go. Around 78 gold ingots an hour per layer, so roughly 1200 for the full build. The rotten flesh is the emerald half of the title, you trade it to a cleric. Java only, and about four hours of building.
mobGriefing has to be true and the turtle egg needs two blocks of clear air above it. The piglins path to the egg in order to jump on it, so if they cannot jump they never come.
Every platform has to sit in nether wastes. Check with F3 before you place 5000 magma blocks, one builder finished the whole farm in basalt deltas.
On hard difficulty the leader piglins have too much health to die from the fall and pile up at the bottom. Replace the carpets with mud and put wither roses on top, hoppers still collect through mud. Dripstone leaves some alive and campfires do nothing, piglins are immune to fire.
Spawnproof the top platform. Magma cubes appear up there within twenty minutes and a ghast will take the farm apart.
Some piglins get stuck at the trapdoor edge and never fall. Breaking the three blocks between the trapdoors clears it, otherwise they only move when the next spawn shoves them.
Frost walker 2 boots or a stack of fire resistance potions save you crouching on magma for hours. An elytra is close to required and wind charges help you move between layers.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
