Five villager iron farm

An iron farm that runs on villager gossip rather than a zombie, with five villagers on beds under a slab roof. Golems spawn beside them and die on soul campfires and lava, with hoppers feeding the collection below. The video builds one unit and then shows four of them combined for the headline rate. Java only.

• Exactly five villagers. Six breaks the farm, and all five have to sleep through the night or it stops producing.
• One unit does not make 2000 per hour. That needs four of them, which the video only reveals at 8:57, after you have gathered everything.
• Without a zombie the rate is poor. One builder with four units measured about 200 per hour, then added a zombie per unit in a water block on soul sand and got over 1400.
• The material list omits two water buckets and never says the fence gates have to be fireproof. Use crimson or warped gates, or raise the platform a block instead.
• Put lightning rod towers at the corners, otherwise the villagers turn into witches.
• Build it at least 150 blocks from anything village related, including shovelled dirt paths, and spawnproof the whole surrounding area.
