Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA gold and XP farm on the nether roof. Zombified piglins spawn on stacked magma platforms, turtle eggs pull them into glass drop tubes, and two llamas spitting at two wolves anger the whole pack so it keeps moving instead of standing around. It makes about 1000 gold blocks and 130,000 items an hour and takes you from level 0 to 191 in one hour. Java only, and it is a long build.
Since 1.21.2 a llama only spits 4 blocks instead of 8, so the wolf has to sit closer than the video shows. The pinned comment links C5's corrected llama and wolf placement.
Since 1.21.11 zombified piglins can carry spears and kill the llamas. Wrap each llama in three layers of slabs or glass, or open trapdoors above the soul fire so the piglins cannot dash at them.
Both animals have to be wild. Tamed wolves and wandering trader llamas will not fight, and the llamas need name tags or they despawn.
Every platform has to sit in a nether wastes biome. One corner in crimson forest and the rate drops.
Spawnproof the whole despawn sphere, including under the bedrock. Left alone the rest of the nether takes the mob cap and the farm crawls.
If items pile up on the glass block in front of the slime block the piston stops extending. Replace that one glass block with an iron trapdoor.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
