Simple Iron golem aggro gold farm

Zombified piglin gold and XP farm on the nether roof, a tutorial for the Rays Works design. One flat magma block platform does all the spawning. A turtle egg in the middle pulls the piglins toward the centre, an iron golem under the egg hits one of them, and the whole platform turns angry at the golem. They walk off the edge, fall onto hoppers and die still angry, so they drop XP as well as their gold. You AFK in a small room under the drop and collect both. There are no portals and no redstone, which is why it is easy to build, but the golem is the entire farm. From 1.20.2 the piglins can reach it and kill it, and the XP side dies with it.

• At 4:01 the video says 14 magma blocks to each side. It is 12, the creator confirmed the typo.
• mobGriefing has to be set to true. With it off the turtle egg never attracts the piglins and nothing drops.
• Put the slab roof up as you lay the magma platform, and place the golem and turtle egg last behind a temporary wall. Otherwise ghasts shell the platform while you build and the piglins kill the golem before it is protected.
• Every part of the platform has to be in nether wastes, and the ground under the bedrock needs spawn proofing. One builder slabbed 64x64 above y 95 and went from a crawl to 77 levels in 45 minutes.
• The quantities in the description are short. Builders report needing several more stacks of magma blocks and slabs, mostly to repair ghast damage.
• It drops nuggets, gold swords and rotten flesh, never ingots, and the XP orbs alone can take you to a few frames per second. Clear them with /kill @e[type=experience_orb].
