Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA ten layer gold farm on the nether roof with the sorting and crafting built in, so the chests fill with gold blocks instead of nuggets. Zombified piglins spawn on magma platforms, turtle eggs pull them to a drop shaft and the fall kills them. It claims 200 gold blocks an hour and builders on current versions measure 150 to 160. Fully AFK, Java only, and the whole cost of it is 77 stacks of magma.
The autocrafters clog. Rotten flesh and loose nuggets get into them and the gold blocks stop crafting. This is the most reported problem by a wide margin and the only suggested fix is soul soil on top of the hoppers feeding the crafter so nothing else can drop in.
Leader piglins survive the fall and stand on the leaves. Replace the leaf on top of the slime block with a solid block, add more leaves around the drop chamber and one under that sticky piston, and put buttons on the ice and the soil.
A different fix for the same thing on 26.2: move the AFK platform 36 blocks sideways from the spot in the video, so the leaders fall outside the despawn sphere and vanish instead of stacking up.
If you do not want the rotten flesh at all, take off the last two hoppers and their chests and put lava at the end of the blue ice. It stops the storage backing up, which is what causes the lag.
Carpet mod with movable block entities breaks the furnace and sticky piston clock. Replace the two furnaces with obsidian and it runs the same.
On spigot the piglins sometimes drop onto the slime block instead of the shaft. A glass column under the eggs fixes that.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
