Instant hoglin food farm

A hoglin farm in a crimson forest that does not need the nether roof. Two spawning platforms sit above a lava blade, warped fungus keeps the hoglins off the platform so they walk into the lava, and the meat comes out cooked. Piglins that spawn alongside them are funnelled into despawn pits instead of being spawnproofed away, which is what keeps the build so short. You AFK on a tower at least 128 blocks above the collection hopper. Swapping the lava for a soul campfire gives raw porkchops instead, which trade to butchers for emeralds, and that is what a lot of people build it for.

The whole farm has to sit in a crimson forest. Partly in another biome means not enough spawns, which the creator confirms is the usual cause of a slow farm.
The AFK spot has to be at least 128 blocks above the collection hopper. Take the hopper's Y, add 128, build there. Several builders got almost nothing until they fixed exactly this.
From 1.21.10 the nether portals repel hoglins. Build them only long enough to break the bedrock and then take them down, or put them well above and below the farm.
Use a soul campfire instead of the lava if you want raw pork for villager trading. It does not burn the drops, but you get less leather.
Extra layers pay off. One builder ran 4 layers and got about 2500 leather an hour against the video's figure.
Zombified piglins piling up means the despawn pits are too short, extend them by one block.
