Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeA compact hoglin farm on the nether roof above a crimson forest. Shroomlights floor the platform so nothing can spawn on them, warped fungus keeps the hoglins moving off the edge, and they land on soul fire below, which cooks the meat on the way down. A central ladder pillar runs up through the middle so you can climb straight from the collection point to the AFK spot at the nether height limit. Two layers is the build in the material list and it stacks from there, up to about 24 layers. The design is NJCyberBird's, moretingz built the tutorial and changed it slightly.
If your food burns before it reaches the hoppers, swap the soul sand fire for soul campfires. The creator says the same in a reply, and putting signs over the hoppers with lava on top works too.
Plain campfires instead of soul fire give raw porkchops, which trade to butchers for emeralds. Several builders prefer it that way.
It stacks. Keep repeating the second layer, under about 24 of them, and one builder measured over 16,000 drops in an hour off 4 layers.
The buttons go on the centre pillar so mobs cannot spawn on it. That is the only reason they are in the list.
If hoglins end up standing on top of the centre pillar, raise it by a couple of blocks.
Only magma cubes spawning means you are not in a crimson forest.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
