Portal hoglin farm

Gilly7CE's portal based hoglin farm, a showcase rather than a tutorial. It sits in a crimson forest, where hoglins spawn on jack o'lanterns and walk straight into a wall of nether portals spaced one block apart. They arrive in the overworld and die to fall damage, and a row of dispensers can flood the chamber with lava if you want the porkchops cooked. The drops ride a water stream into a shulker box loader and a box sorter. The jack o'lanterns are the trick: they are solid, hoglins spawn on them, and the light they give keeps piglins from spawning at all.

• The jack o'lanterns are not decoration. The creator went through the options and they are the only light source that is solid, lets hoglins spawn on top and keeps piglins out. Shroomlights and sea lanterns each fail one of those.
• fortun8diamond's alternative is glowstone spaced a few blocks apart with solid blocks in between.
• Two commenters say it does not work on 1.21, one of them specifically on 1.21.4. Neither got an answer from the creator.
• The AFK platform is off centre on purpose. It keeps the farm inside the despawn sphere without raising the spawning height map, and two people could not find that spot in the world download.
• Any glass works, the tinted glass in the video is a styling choice.
• fortun8diamond says the same portal spacing works for a magma cube farm, and that the design scales to about a million porkchops an hour if you have an obsidian farm to feed the portals.
