Watch the full tutorial on YouTubeSmall raid farm on a lava cast pillar out at sea, built around one villager on a bed. You drink an ominous bottle, the raid spawns on the platform at the top, and the raiders drop down a shaft into lava with a hopper and two chests underneath. It costs 88 building blocks and takes minutes to put up, which is the whole appeal. It has one weak point and it matters: if a ravager blocks the drop shaft, the evokers behind it get time to summon vexes, the vexes kill the villager and the farm stops until you replace him. Java. Hard difficulty gives the best loot.
Ravagers block the drop shaft because the lava does not kill them fast enough, which is what gives the evokers time to summon vexes. Raise the glass walls uniformly to the third block and roof over about half the platform so ravagers stay away from the shaft while everything else still drops.
If the raid never starts, give the villager a job block. Several builders fixed it by turning theirs into a librarian with a lectern.
If the villager will not sleep, look for another bed in range. A village or your own base nearby will pull him away from the one in the farm.
Kill the evokers in one hit. Vexes do not spawn at all if you do, and they are what reaches you and the villager when you do not.
Put a water source with a sign at the top of the lava column so pillagers do not die to fall damage before the lava reaches them.
The video never shows how you get the villager up there, which is the most complained about gap in it. A happy ghast is the easy way.
Save this farm to a collection to tick materials off as you gather them.
